Department of Computer Science is accredited by the State Accreditation Committee. |
The State Accreditation Committee is an independent institution working within the higher education system in Poland for the improvement of the quality of education. The primary objective of the Committee is to support Polish public and non-public higher education institutions in the development of educational standards matching the best models adopted in the European and global academic space. The State Accreditation Committee carries out its mission by conducting obligatory assessments of the quality of education. On the 15th of April, 2009, the State Accreditation Committee was officially accepted to European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).

Technical Universities Accreditation Committee was established on the 17th of February, 2001, by the Conference of Rectors of Polish Technical Universities. The Committee verifies the quality of education offered by technical higher education institutions only. On the basis of the report, the Committe:
- grants accreditation for the period of two or five years
- suspends accreditation until certain pre-determined criteria are fulfilled
- refuses to grant accreditation

Consequently, Erasmus University Charter allows Department of Computer Science to carry out all sorts of European cooperation activities within the Erasmus programme.
